When I first started my photography business I remember talking to my sister about pricing and what she paid for for wedding photography. And I remember being so excited that her photographer posted her because that didn’t really happen for plus-sized people. And if she felt just her size would keep her from finding a photographer that would want to work with her I can only imagine how a member of the LGBT community might feel.
So, I made it my mission to always create a safe space for couples. I’m incredibly proud to be an LGBT-friendly photographer based in San Francisco. And the few times I have worked with LGBTQIA+ couples I feel incredibly honored that they trust me to capture their love.
Proposal at Sutro Baths
Marvin reached out to me just a month before with plans of wanting to propose to his longtime partner Carl. He had an idea in his head for the Sutro Bath photos and I was determined to make that happen!
You never know what kind of weather to expect in San Francisco. But, we were SO BLESSED with an incredible golden hour that has made for some of my favorite photos to this day.
I photographed one of my first couple here wayyy back in 2019. Check out that gallery here. And I have been dying to come back!! This is exactly what I mean when I say San Francisco truly has the best of both worlds the hustle and bustle of the city and gorgeous landscapes and coastline.
I know couples obviously talk about getting married before the engagement. And to some extent, every couple knows an engagement is impending. But, the actual shock that Carl had that it was happening this today was definitely the most surprised I’ve seen pretty much ever.
He was truly at a loss for words which I could tell was not something he was used to!
LGBT Friendly Photographer
As A LGBT Friendly Photographer, it’s partly my job to make sure you feel comfortable safe and truly just me who you are. And I never take that job lightly.
I photographed my first city hall civil ceremony in 2021 and never looked back. I know city hall like the back of my hand. And when it comes to knowing the best locations, most fun activities, and unique treats I’m your girl. I wear many hats besides being your photographer – planner, helper, hyper woman, scouter, and sometimes even florist.
Taking photos should be a fun and easy experience. I do my absolute best to create a seamless experience from beginning to end. From the first contact, I want you to feel like you know me. Together we can figure out the location, outfits, accessories, and timing. All of the little details to help your San Francisco wedding vision come to life. These are your photos at the end of the day. And I want you to be absolutely in love with them. I’d love to photograph your wedding.
I’ve photographed at Sutro Baths in San Francisco at least 4 times now. And these hands down have to be some of my favorite photos ever. I’m telling you when you get a sunny day in the city. The sunset especially in the Presidio and Lands Ends cannot be matched!!
All of this golden light had my little photographer heart just beaming!!! I seriously cannot get of enough of these photos. And to see my growth from a few years ago to this is amazing and something I’m incredibly proud of!
