There are so many gorgeous places for photos in San Francisco it can be hard to narrow it down. But, when there is a clear day in the Bay a view of the Golden Gate Bridge can be hard to beat. That’s why I love these Marin Headlands engagement photos. The Marin headlands are full of hidden gems and amazing views. And though this hike up Slacker Hill was hard a view like this was incredibly worth it.
I had been wanting to check out Slacker Hill and have been before during the summer. But, if you know anything about San Francisco. The summer is actually the foggiest time of the year. One morning I woke up early and drove all the way to Slaker Hill from Oakland only to hike all the way up for it to be completely fogged out. š Lesson learned.
But, that’s why Erin mentioned wanting to take photos up here I was like immediately YES! Let’s do it!
Marin Headlands Engagement Photos
Erin and Andrew traveled all the way from St. Louis to explore SF and meet some new people. And they were incredibly lucky to come to SF the one week of the year that it’s in the 90s. And let’s just say we were sweating!!
After we got to the top of Slacker Hill we just took in the incredible views. We were so high up that the Golden Gate Bridge looked small which is crazy! We had this whole spot to ourselves to enjoy.
As the sun began to set we had gorgeous lighting for their Marin headlands engagement photos. As we went lower onto the ridge from Slacker Hill we got more views of downtown San Francisco and it was perfect!
The sun setting behind the Marin Headlands hills was gorgeous and the perfect way to end the session. There’s not much that can beat golden hour in California, especially along the coast.
