Downtown SF Engagement Photos | Cait + Allan

Engagements

Cait and Allan met while working together at a law firm. Cait was based out of the Houston office Allan out of the Portland office and San Francisco the tie that brought them together. Which is why it was soo important to them to have downtown SF engagement photos. Where we basically recreated one of their first nights together.

We started at Cait and Allan’s choice of local watering whole Comstock. Comstock is right in the heart of North Beach filled with the hustle and bustle of downtown. And we did what they normally do which is first grab their go-to drinks. An old-fashioned for Allan and white wine for Cait and then we walked around to the corners of North Beach if you will.

First Impressions

“My first impression of Allan remains true to this day. I thought he was incredibly kind and thoughtful, a good friend and great listener, someone who is firm in his beliefs about right and wrong and extremely easy to get along with, on top of being oh so cute and having the most beautiful sometimes blue-sometimes green eyes.” – Cait

“My first impression of Cait was that she was beautiful, bold, and intimidatingly smart (after meeting through work I thought our bosses would realize she was way better and fire me!). I still think all those things.” – Allan

We had to get some blurry photos for their downtown SF engagement photos. Because honestly, nothing really captures the essence of the hustle quite like a blurry photo. And then of course we need to get the Transamerica building in the background. Nothing screams downtown SF engagement photos quite like the Transamerica building.

Then, after capturing the essence of downtown San Francisco we headed to the Fort Point and the Golden Gate Bridge for sunset.

Fort Point has an amazing view of the Golden Gate Bridge. And on a Friday evening, I was pleasantly surprised about the lack of other people. It was pretty much just Cait, Allan, me, and their bottle of champagne.

Kind Words From the Couple

“My fiancée and I LOVE the engagement photos Torez took. We were nervous going into the session (in San Francisco) but Torez took the edge off right away and made us feel comfortable. She had great recommendations about where to go and how to move around together. Our photos ended up capturing us beautifully – they don’t feel too “posed” or unnatural. Torez was communicative through the whole process and got our photo set back to us quickly. We highly recommend her as a photographer.”

While at Fort Point, we walked around, popped the champagne and just really enjoyed the view. You truly don’t know what the weather is going to be like hour by hour here sometimes. So, it was nice to not only have a clear evening with amazing golden views but also a relatively warm one at least by SF standards.
