There are a ton of gorgeous places to say I do in San Francisco. But none with a view quite like Twin Peaks. This San Francisco carousel wedding with Lena and Philipp was truly one for the books. Twin Peaks is one of the highest points in San Francisco. It has views of both the Golden Gate Bridge and downtown San Francisco if you’re lucky enough to get a clear day.
After saying their I do’s with an absolutely gorgeous view we headed over to Pier 39 to play tourist for the day. Well, more so tourist for the day for me (Bay Area born and bread here). Lena and Philipp were visiting SF all the way from Germany! And as much as locals may think Pier 39 is lame I think you have to experience it just once.
Exploring Pier 39
At Pier 39, Lena and Philipp got lots of congratulations and cheers as they explored the pier. There were all these cute little shops to stop in before we got to the carousel. There they decided they had to get on. The workers were so kind and I also got to get on. I quickly snapped some photos of them “riding” the carousel. Before getting off and letting them enjoy their carousel wedding.
After riding the carousel we found this little corner on the pier. It was the perfect place to enjoy a gorgeous sunset with the Bay Bridge in view. San Francisco is soo funny. Because on this side of the bridge was one of the prettiest sunsets I’ve ever seen. And then, we went to the other side to watch the sea lions and it was the complete opposite.
Pier 39 is partly known for the sea lions. And let’s just say you can see them living their best lives basking in the SF sun for a reason. This was the perfect way to wrap-up to Lena and Philipp’s day. Being a tourist, catching amazing views, and Karl rolling in.
