Big Sur Elopement | Kate & Randal

Elopements

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it, again and again, I love Garapata Beach in Big Sur and this elopement and this elopement reminded me why. This beach has just the right amount of space, seclusion, and the most stunning scenery. I’d come to this beach every single day if I could. Located just about ten miles in from Carmel-by-the-Sea this beach will transport you to a different place in California.

There is no shortage of beautiful spots in Big Sur. From McWay Falls at the very south of Big Sur to Garapata beach just at the beginning, and everything in between. I have to remind myself to keep my eyes on the road as a drive down Highway 1. The endless views of the ocean are truly breathtaking. Though I have yet to make it down to McWay Falls it’s definitely on my list and I’m so determined to make it there the next time I’m in town. Even though it feels like I say every single time.

I was so excited when Kate first reached out to me. Big Sur has such a big place in my heart. And she told me that her husband and her Randal wanted to get all dressed up again and celebrate their 8 year anniversary in Big Sur I knew exactly where to take them. For a fun bonus the Calla Lily Valley was in bloom – a literal dream come true!

This Garapata Beach Big Sur elopement reminded me of why I love this place so much! Garapata beach in Big Sur will always have a special place in my heart. It’s amazing that you can live so close to someplace but never make or find the time to visit. Big Sur was one of those places for me for a very long time. Definitely longer than I’m proud of. But, the moment I went and saw all the beauty it has to offer it immediately felt like home. Garapata beach in Big Sur is the place where I fully realized my love of the ocean. And it’s for that reason this beach and this spot will always have a special spot in my heart.

These two were too much on this windy afternoon together. She’s a model if you couldn’t tell by the pure fierceness she was giving me. These two well, mostly Kate braved the cold in Big Sur at Garapata State Beach for a cliffside elopement that was nothing but steamy and filled with romance. The wind, this couple, the vibes everything was straight heart eyes.
