Big Sur is one of my favorite places in all of Northern California. And once you look through this Big Sur engagement photos you’ll clearly be able to tell why. Between the wind, the sun, and the ocean, Big Sur just continually remind me how beautiful California is.
Courtney and Klayton decided the Big Sur would the perfect place for their engagement photos. We had originally planned on Pfeiffer beach but with all the crazy just weeks before the road was literally washed away……
But nevertheless, after two missed plans we ended up at Monastery Beach in Big Sur and had an absolute blast! That perfect sun glow and in February!!
If you have some extra time in Big Sur to do some exploring and grab a bite make sure to check out Big Sur Tap House! Or Revival Ice Cream in Monterey I have such a sweet tooth and their icecream never disappoints.
Tips For Your Big Sur Engagement Photos
Are you having your engagement photos in Big Sur then here are some quick tips to give you the best experience possible! Shoes are completely optional especially if we’re on the beach. You might want to bring some flip flops or tennis shoes if you do some light hiking to the perfect spot! There will most likely be lots of wind so if you plan to wear your hair down know that it may look a little different after your session. A cute side braid like the one Courtney has in the pictures above is a great what to keep the hair out of your face!
I recommend wearing jeans and a sweater or a flowy dress for the ladies! These are both super cute options that work great for movement. For the guys, I’d recommend keeping it super simple with either jeans or casual dress pants and a button-up.
